Key Information:

• Hours: Various shifts, project dependent, 12-hour days
• Must be willing to working evenings and weekends (Various shift rotations)
• Hourly rate is dependent on experience.

Job Description:

• Conducting elevations shots, reading grade, and ensuring pipe is being properly placed in the ground.
• Communicating with the Foreperson, Operators, and Crew members.
• Providing continuous inspections of pipes for cracks or deficiencies.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specification, and reporting.
• Use and knowledge of various levels.
• Oversee the water and pumps within the trenches.
• Knowledge of fusion joining is considered an asset.

Experience and Certification Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of working experience as a Topman/Topwoman for various sewer and water projects or equivalent experience required.
• Must have a strong understanding of reading grade.
• Must understanding surveying.
• Must be able to do elevation shots.
• Must be able to read and understand drawings.
• CSTS 2020, WHMIS 2015, Ground disturbance 201, fall protection required.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• A driver's abstract is required and must be obtained no more than 30 days prior to employment start date.
• A reliable means of transportation is required.
• Proficient English language skills required.

Education: Completion of high school or equivalent is required.
